Thymus is a genus in the mint family Lamiaceae, native to temperate regions in Europe, Asia and N-Africa. They are aromatic, evergreen herbs or sub-shrubs, some are grown as culinary herbs. One is native to Iceland.
Division in spring or fall.
Seed - sown in February - March.
Seed lightly covered and stored at 20°C (68°F) until germination.
Ground cover with fragrant foliage and flowers that can be used in tea or as a herb. Native species, common in all regions.
