Soldanella, is a small genus in the primrose family, Primulaceae, native to mountain areas in Europe. They grow in moist meadows, woodlands and rocky mountainsides.

Propagation:


Division in spring after flowering.


Seed - sown in August - November.

Seed not covered and stored at 20°C (68°F) for 2-4 weeks and the stored outside until spring. When it starts to warm up it is moved to 15-20°C (60-68°F) until germination.

A compact alpine that grows best in well drained, moist soil.
