Lupinus is a genus in the legume family, Fabaceae.  It is a large genus of around 300 species native to N- and S-America. Smaller distribution areas are found around the Mediterranean. They are nitrogen fixing and some can grow in poor, dry soil.

Propagation:


Division in spring.


Seed - sown January - March.

Seed coat sanded and soaked in warm water for 24 h before being sown. Seed just covered and stored at  15-20°C (60-68°F) until germination.

Needs a sunny spot and well drained soil. Can be short lived
