Lamium is a genus of around 50 species in the Lamiaceae family, native to Europe, Asia and Africa. Many are ground covering and shade tolerant, and make good ground covers in shady spots in the garden.
Division in spring.
Layering - a part of a stem is covered in soil and after roots have developed it is cut away from the plant.
Self-seeded cross between the species and the cultivar 'Beacon Silver'. Silver variegated foliage and pink flowers.
