Erythronium, is a genus of spring flowering plants in the lily family, Liliaceae, closely related to tulips, which grow in meadows and wooded areas in temperate regions of Eurasia and N-America.

Division in spring.
Seed - best sown in September - November.
Seed covered and stored outside until germination, which could be slow. Seed could germinate the second spring after sowing. Optimum germination temperature is 5-15°C (40-60°F).
Beautiful woodland plant. Can be short lived.
