Erodium is a genus in the family Geraniaceae. The species grown in Iceland are native to southern Europe and are fairly tender. They need well-drained soil and full sun and are best suited to rock gardens.
Division in spring.
Seed - sown in January.
Seed just covered and stored at 20°C (68°F) until germination, which can take 2-3 months. After germination the seedlings need a lower temperature and plenty of light so they won't become lanky.
Grows best in well drained, calcareous soil.
