The genus Edraianthus belongs to the bellflower family, Campanulaceae. It's a small genus of similar species native to the Balkan peninsula. They are  mound forming alpines with threadlike foliage and bell shaped flowers on short flower stalks. They prefer to grow in crevices between rocks in full sun and dislike wet winter conditions.

Propagation:

Sowing - sown in December - January

Seed just covered and stored for 6 weeks at 20°C (68°F). If there is some germination the seedlings are transplanted and then the seed tray is moved outside until spring. Moved back inside to 20°C (68°F) in March-April.

Alpine plant that needs well-drained, gritty soil.
