Dracocephalum, is a genus of about 60-70 species in the Lamiaceae family. The majority of species are native to Central-Europe and N-Asia. The species commonly grown in Iceland grow best in dry, poor soils in full sun.

Division in spring.
Cuttings in spring.
Seed - sown January - February.
Seed just covered and stored at 20°C (68°F) until germination. If there is no germination after 4-6 weeks, it is advisable to store it outside until germination.
Can grow in normal soil, but is more compact in well-drained, poor soil.
