Cremanthodium is a genus of around 50 species in the family Asteraceae, native to the Himalayas. Their common characteristic is nodding flowers, most often yellow. They all need well drained, evenly moist soil. They are sensitive to wet winter conditions.
Seed - seed has very short viability and must be sown when fresh in September. Stored outside or in a refrigerator until March and then brought inside and kept at 18-22°C (64 - 72°F) until germination.
A medium sized perennial with a basal rosette of large leaves and clusters of nodding, yellow flowers. It's sensitive to wet winter conditions so it needs very good drainage, but it needs evenly moist soil during the growing season.
