Catananche is a small genus of five species in the aster family, Asteraceae, native to dry meadows of the mediterranean region.
Division in spring.
Seed sown in March.
Seed just covered and kept at 20°C (68°F) until germination. After germination it should be kept at a lower temperature with plenty of light so the plants won't become lanky.
Native to dry grasslands around the Mediterranean. Needs a warmer climate to thrive than Iceland has to offer.
