Adenostyles is a genus in the family Asteraceae. It is a small genus of three species all native to the Alps.

Division in spring.


Seed - sown in January - February.

Seed just covered and stored at 20°C (68°F) until germination. If there is no germination after 4 weeks, it should be refrigerated for 2-4 weeks and then moved back to 20°C (68°F).

A tall plant with coarse foliage. It needs a fair amount of sun and humus rich, well drained, moist soil. Native to open woodlands in rocky soil in mountains in S-Europe. Hardy and easy to grow.
