Asplenium er ættkvísl um 700 burknategunda í Aspleniaceae ættinni og er af flestum grasafræðingum talin eina ættkvísl ættarinnar. Þetta er breytileg ættkvísl með nokkrum undirflokkum, sem stundum eru flokkaðar sem sér ættkvíslir.

The genus Achillea belongs to the family Asteraceae. Their defining characteristics are finely divided, aromatic leaves and clusters of small composite flowers. The genus contains around 150 species native to Euope, N-Asia and N-America. A number of garden cultivars are available in a variety of colours.
Propagation:
Division in spring.
Seed sown in March.
Seed just covered and kept at 20°C (68°F) until germination. After germination it should be kept at a lower temperature with plenty of light so the plants won't become lanky.
A tall garden variety of common yarrow in magenta shades, grown from seed from Thompson & Morgan. Flowers late, often around the end of August and into September. Needs support. Moderatly hardy, given good drainage. Can be short lived.
