Purple broadleaf stonecrop is a variety of broadleaf stonecrop with rosettes of silver-lilac foliage that turns reddish purple as it ages, so each rosette is bicoloured. The flowers are bright, golden yellow on 10- 15 cm high flower stalks. Broadleaf stonecorp and the purple variety are said to be hardy, but it was short lived in my yard. It likely needs more sun than it got where I planted it. It's very well suited to rock gardens.
