The Crescendo series are P. elatior hybrids in a variety of colours. I was expecting more variable pink colours for a variety named 'Pink Shades', but all the plants have flowers in this hot pink colour. It is very pretty and hopefully the plants will stick around for a while. P. elatior hybrids have a tendency to be rather tender and short lived. I planted two plants outside last summer and they flowered well this spring, so they have one winter under their belt. Hopefully they'll flower again come spring.
