'Johnson's Blue' is a cross between the lilac cranesbill (Geranium himalayense) and meadow cranesbill (Geranium pratense). It bears a closer resemblance to the meadow cranesbill in height and habit. The flowers are similar to the lilac cranesbill, large and violet-blue. It was hardy and easy to grow, but needs support. Grows in most soil types and partial shade.
