Manescau storksbill has all the qualities of a good garden plant. It is medium height and doesn't need support. It flowers continuously for most of the summer. It has lovely magenta flowers with markings on the top two petals. It needs a sunny location and well drained soil, but otherwise it's not too fussy about the type of soil, although it prefers lime-rich soil. It has proved hardy in my garden, it has lived for many years and flowers every year. In short, an excellent plant.
