I stumbled upon this fern last spring and decided to give it a try since I love the maidenhair fern and this one looks very much like it. It doesn't look very cold hardy with it's delicate foliage and it does need a sheltered place, but it is supposed to tolerate at least -10 to -15°C (14 - 5°F). I'll find out this spring whether it survived winter outside here. It needs well-drained, humus-rich, moist soil in partial to full shade. I covered it with leaves this fall, hopefully it will be enough to get it through winter.
